For the month of February, Move With is focusing on all things Motherhood. Diana, resident Move With Studio Teacher, who is also a new mom and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, has greatly contributed to everything we are bringing your way this month. If you are new to Move With Studio, here is a little more about her:

Since her first time on the reformer, Diana has loved Pilates. She appreciates how Pilates helps her connect to a sense of ease, even when it’s hard. For her, it’s more than just exercise - her practice has helped her in both mind and body during IVF, pregnancy, and postpartum. Diana is certified through Balanced Body and is also a certified Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist through Core Exercise Solutions. She specializes in working with prenatal and postpartum clients to improve alignment and strength. She loves helping people at every fitness level unlock their movement potential, and feel confident in their bodies.

A Note From Diana

Despite all the challenges of 2020, there was a bright spot in the arrival of our spirited baby Asher. I was so touched by your messages/congratulations upon his birth, and I feel blessed to be a part of this community. Motherhood has been fantastic but hard — the first few months felt like running a marathon on empty. Somehow (with the help of coffee) I made it out of that phase, and have been able to take time to recharge.

My own experience going through pregnancy/postpartum inspired me to get a deeper understanding of effective postpartum recovery. I got certified as a Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist so I can better support pre/postnatal women in their own journeys.

Things have taken an unexpected but exciting new turn as my family and I are planning to move at some point this year. My husband has been appointed as city attorney for Manteca. I will be sad to leave, but I am looking forward to moving with you again soon, virtually!
