Fascia Stretch Therapy
Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST or stretch therapy) is a dynamic and relaxing form of bodywork designed to enhance flexibility, alleviate discomfort, and improve your range of motion. Similar to a massage, FST involves gentle manipulation of soft tissues while you remain comfortably relaxed on a massage table. However, stretch therapy specifically targets the fascia, a vital connective tissue that supports muscles, tendons, ligaments, organs, and nerves, making it essential for overall movement and well-being.
At Move With Studio, your stretch therapy session takes place in The Annex, a serene, private room located above our studio with one of our highly qualified Fascia Stretch Therapists. This tranquil space is designed to foster relaxation and privacy, allowing you to fully unwind during your session.
Key Benefits of Fascia Stretch Therapy at MWS:
Gentle, pain-free stretches target the entire fascial system providing support for every aspect of movement.
Improved mobility and flexibility.
A private, calming environment for ultimate relaxation.
Sessions are fully clothed for comfort.
Suitable for all ages and body types.
Many clients find FST beneficial for addressing conditions such as frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), chronic lower back pain, and neck or shoulder tension. Unlike yoga based stretching, where certain muscles remain active, FST is performed on a completely relaxed body, allowing for a deeper stretch that activates the parasympathetic nervous system.
Why Choose Fascia Stretch Therapy?
FST is incredibly gentle, making it ideal for faster recovery from injuries by improving blood flow to muscles and connective tissues. Athletes may also experience enhanced performance as a result of improved circulation and mobility. Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic tension or looking to optimize movement, Fascia Stretch Therapy offers an effective, pain-free path to greater well-being.
Ready to experience the difference? Book your session today at Move With and embrace the freedom of movement.

FAQs
-
Please come as hydrated as possible. Consuming at least half of your weight in ounces of water per day is necessary to keep your joints lubricated. Drinking water or consuming water with electrolytes before a session will help enhance the results of the session.
-
All Stretch Therapy appointments will be offered solely in the Annex. Having a quiet, private space is a major upgrade to the Stretch Therapy experience for all clients. It creates an environment where each individual can fully relax into their body, allow their nervous system to drop down, and receive the stretch in the most restorative way.
-
Please wear comfortable clothes, i.e, t-shirt and sweatpants or leggings. If you are coming from a workout please change into a fresh set of clothes. Our therapists should be able to move your legs and your arms without restriction.
-
No oils or lotions are used during stretch therapy.
-
You can go about your normal day after a session, but we recommend drinking plenty of water to flush out toxins, similar to recommendations after a massage. Rest is also beneficial, but not necessary after getting stretch therapy.
-
You can workout before or after a fascial stretch therapy session. Our recommendation is to work out first then stretch after.
-
Your stretch session should be pain free. There will be moments during the session where you will feel a deep stretch, but it should not be painful. Please notify your therapist if you are feeling any pain.
