Welcome, Breath to Body
Breath to Body is the latest release in Move With On-Demand and has taken shape by integrating my passion for breathwork and meditation, with my love for Pilates and all things movement. If you’ve taken class with me in the studio the last couple of months you have experienced a taste of Breath to Body as I have weaved in breath work and mindfulness practices into all my reformer classes. For the month of August we have released two Breath to Body mat classes, plus two short guided breathwork sessions you can easily incorporate into your daily routine.
I originally fell in love with Pilates not because of the aesthetic results, but by how it taught me to be present in my body and how integral it was for me to connect to my breath in order to move efficiently. Breath to Body was created to give you even more awareness, not just in your movement, but also for your nervous system as a whole. I have found too often that we look at breathwork and mindfulness as separate entities from movement practices, and the goal of this method is to showcase that when combined you reap more benefits than when performed separately.
Every time I lay down on a reformer or my mat and tune into my breath I feel at home. This practice was developed to give each and every one of you a little taste of that feeling: to move, to breathe and to be in your body.
