Her practice is centered around developing strength and physical awareness that lead one to live life with increased poise, flexibility, and confidence.

Joanna Clinton

Pilates Teacher

Joanna began studying Pilates as a dancer seeking rehabilitation for her lower back in 2003. She quickly learned how the intricacies of Pilates exercises stabilized her spine and strengthened the muscles around it, completely healing her bulging discs. Her new-found strength led her to become a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor through Balanced Body University. Her focus now includes pre and post-natal Pilates, in addition to rehabilitation and Pilates for athletic performance.

Joanna brings a deep sensitivity to her teaching and is excited to help her clients learn and understand the strength and power of their own bodies.

Rachel Parker

Pilates Teacher / Authorized Scolio-Pilates® Practitioner

Rachel teaches Pilates in group classes and individual sessions. She’s passionate about the healing qualities of movement to reduce pain, improve function and increase happiness. She sees injuries and limitations not as roadblocks but rather as puzzles to be explored with courage and compassion.

Rachel’s been teaching in the East Bay since 2014 and has completed the Balanced Body Comprehensive Teacher Training. She recently became an Authorized Scolio-Pilates® Practitioner and is also offering sessions in scoliosis-specific exercises. A former professional dancer and broadcast journalist, she now spends a lot of free time cheering at her teenage son’s lacrosse games.

She has a keen interest in addressing knee, hip and shoulder injuries, joint pain from arthritis and diseases of the spine. Her mission is to help her clients feel better, stronger, longer and happier after every session. When Jessica is not teaching, you can find her driving her family around or practicing Pilates, lifting weights, hiking with her dog, and running 400 meter repeats on the treadmill.

Janin Vasquez

Pilates Teacher

Janin has had a lifelong passion for health, movement and all things wellness, and started her Pilates journey nearly two decades ago. As a former competitive dancer and athlete, she experienced multiple injuries throughout her career and was always grateful and fascinated by the trainers that helped to rehabilitate her. She decided to follow this passion even further where she studied and graduated with a Kinesiology degree from Cal State East Bay, then received Pilates certifications from both STOTT and Club Pilates. Her teaching style integrates the Pilates method with her background in Kinesiology, and has seen many clients over the years benefit from this powerful combo.

Janin believes movement is medicine, and is very excited to join the MWS Team and create workouts that will inspire and encourage healthy movement for all bodies!

Miriam Drace

Pilates Teacher

Miriam has been a mover and athletically inclined since she was on skis at the age of two, and pursued a dance career through college. She has a double Bachelors of Science from Skidmore College where she studied Exercise Science in addition to Dance, which gave her deeper knowledge of anatomy, physiology and the science of movement and exercise. She received her Pilates Certification through ITT at Studio M in Sonoma in 2012 and did continuing education in Applied Neurology until 2017 with Z-Health.

Miriam looks forward to helping you feel grounded, strong, healed, confident and connected to your body and all it can do!

Carlo Tringale

Pilates Teacher

As a competitive athlete, Carlo was first introduced to Pilates in 2014 as an alternative to the traditional gym workout. This fundamentally changed his approach to his own fitness goals and started him on the path to help others as a Pilates instructor. Carlo is a NCPT and has been teaching private and group classes in the Bay Area since 2016. He has experience working with individuals of varying ages and abilities; from athletes looking to increase their strength and flexibility to older adults trying to incorporate movement back into their lives. A note from Mary:

Studio Manager / Teacher in Training

Mary Morrison

“From my first session, I loved Pilates for the endless variety & how it made me feel. Especially how it quieted the endless “chatter” in my brain. After my spinal cord injury and subsequent major surgery- Pilates played a huge role in my recovery. I’m proof that Pilates really is for every body.  I am so excited to be a part of the Move With team, to share in your movement journey and help you achieve your own goals.”
